[ There are shuffling sounds as Finn attempts to figure out his communication device. It isn't the first that he's on a strange planet but it is the first that he wasn't sure how he'd gotten there. From what he had seen so far, this wasn't like any planet he'd been to before. This was just his luck. He'd just reunited with Rey and Poe, made sure Rose was on the road to recovery, and now...this.

Finn saw himself on the screen. He closed his mouth in an effort to stop looking completely lost and spoke with conviction. ]

If there's anyone out there with the Resistance...

[ For some reason, in the midst of his words, Finn couldn't help but recall telling Han Solo that he'd been a big deal with the Resistance. Finn lost a little of his momentum and his eyes drifted but quickly came back. ]

...I'm not really sure how I got here. I, uh... I'm Finn. If you know Rey, General Organa or Poe Dameron, they'll know who I am.

[ Rose might have known who he was but Finn couldn't be sure that all the Resistance did. They would know the General's name and Poe. Maybe even Rey.

A slight concern started to seep into his features as he waited for a response. ]

Finn?

(Another video pops up. Finn is greeted by one chipper (though low key worried) Poe Dameron. He gives his friend a grin and leans back into a stone chair.)

Finn? Is that really you? Ah, I'm so glad to see you! Are you ok? You didn't crash here, right?

(Poe's expression changes when he goes to address his friend's questions.)

Rey and I are both here. We're fine. But, nobody else is here. At least as far as we know. People tend to be good at reaching out when they show up here. (He pauses.) No wait. Finn, you need to know this... we have First Order Company here too.

Poe!

[ Some of the concern immediately faded at seeing his friend. ]

Where's Rey?

[ Poe had to know it was coming. It was the second time they were separated since crashing on Jakku, and the second time Finn was separated from Rey without knowing where he'd ended up. ]

I'm okay. Is Rey with you?

[ They almost talked over one another, Poe easing his nerves as he continued on.

Until mentioning the First Order.

All the calm that Finn had started to feel went back to the pit of his stomach. There had been a slight pang at hearing no one else from the Resistance was around. He worried about how Rose would fair and hoped that she continued to heal, wherever she was. Yet knowing the First Order was around... Finn couldn't ask for better allies than Poe and Rey, depending just how much company they had.

With heavy disdain on his features, he asked... ]

Who?!

[ His heart pounded in his chest, waiting for his friend's reply. Finn didn't look scared as he once might have. He was at a heightened state of distrust and dislike that showed visibly as anger. ]

Good. (Poe is relieved to hear that Finn was fine.) I'm glad. Where are you at right...

(However when he realizes that he was asked about Rey, Poe finds himself going silent for a moment or two. The only answer he knew he could give was that Rey and himself had kind of went their own ways. Of course, they tried to keep in touch, but they were generally doing their own things.

He finds himself shaking his head.)

No, no she's not right now. I'd try the Summer Temple. Last time I got to talk to her she was there.

(He feels like a crappy friend the moment those words left his mouth and he looks as if he's ready to kick himself, but he instead settles on both shaking his head and trying to brace himself for having to give an answer as the revelation replays itself over and over in his head while he tries to make words. Ben, the general's son, was a part of the First Order. Hell, Poe internally added, he was as good as running it now from what he could tell.

Then there was the memory of having his mind broken into, violated. The memory of being strapped upright as a prisoner and Poe feels his grip tighten on the device in his hand.

Eventually, he finds it in himself to answer that question;)

I'm not going to sugarcoat it, buddy. The worst possible person to have showing up in a place where people have to replace gods. (Poe's tone darkens.) Kylo Ren's the one who showed up here...

[ There's no judgement on Poe about keeping after Rey. Finn's never expected him to do that, trusting that the Jakku native could take care of herself. He would also trust Poe to make sure that she'd have help if needed. Just hearing an idea of where to find her was enough for the moment.

Only until his friend goes onto explain exactly who from the First Order was among them. A rock feels like it's settled at the pit of his stomach, knowing that the traitorous son of Han Solo and General Organa was among them.

Anger doesn't fade from his features but Finn also looks a little sick with the news. ]

Is he alone? Does Rey know? Where is he?

[ The questions come one after another, almost like a nervous tick. Finn isn't sure if he wants to find Kylo Ren and end him the way the First Order had taught him to do with all their enemies or keep his distance and reunite with his friends. ]

Last I saw on the network here, he crashed on the beach. Though, that isn't much to go off of in itself.

(Poe frowns and he sits up more.)

She knows. Whatever message he broadcasted out... I'm sure it was public and he...(Then a pause and a few muttered curses. He's been keeping an eye on the network since this, unsure of what was going on and trying to think of something that wouldn't end with all hell breaking loose. But, he remembered how useless he was the first time he encountered Kylo Ren during that call,) he mentioned that she was there...

I didn't hear or see her, so he may have been bluffing... been keeping an eye out just in case on the network. She'd call for help if she needed it, I think...

(He mutters "Kriffin' brat" a few times.)

Where are you? Looks like in town somewhere. I can meet up with you somewhere if you want. In any case, I'm tired of checking the feed for something telling me what he's doing...

Was he hurt? Did he have anybody with him?

[ There was a glimmer of hope, hearing the worst the First Order had to offer had crashed on a beach. Kylo Ren was hopefully weak and injured. It was about time the tables turned.

Finn could only meekly nod when Poe informed him further. Rey would answer him. He'd wait for her response. ]

I'm... [ His face was searching the surroundings. Finn squinted to read the markers around but couldn't make sense of any of them. His free hand scratched the back of his head before looking back at the screen. ]

...I don't know where I am.

[Though she wish it were better circumstances, she can't help the stupid grin that crosses her face upon hearing that familiar voice.]

FINN! [She doesn't know how, but the feeling that things were going to be better settles upon her. Her, Finn, and Poe--that's three of them, if they work together than surely some progress will be made.]

I'm here! Poe's here! [...Kylo Ren's also here, but that can wait.] Are you okay? You're not hurt, are you?

REY!

[ More than relief, there's an immediate smile on his face. Seeing her on the screen was the next best thing to seeing her in person. He'd spent what felt like an eternity without the sight. If it weren't for how gravely hurt Rose had been on his behalf (and maybe the very confusing kiss she landed on him), Finn would have never left Rey's side. He looked to her with puppy dog eyes. ]

I'm fine. I...Where are we? Vernos Bay isn't in any star system I've ever heard of.

[ He immediately shook his head. ]

Where are you?

[ Rey might suspect he'd take off to her immediately. The video jostled as he began to walk. ]

[Rey shakes her head, sitting up in her hammock and placing her bare feet on the ground beneath her.] I don't know where exactly this is--and we don't really have a way of knowing. Poe and I were in the Outer Rim before we crash-landed here, but--

[She stops, her brow creasing with worry as she sees the background on his feed start to move.] If I told you, would you know where to go? You should let me come find you.

[ To say she was as sight for sore eyes, was a serious understatement. Yet... Crash landing? Where had his friends gone without him? And for how long? It didn't seem as if Rey had just come out of a crash. She was relaxed and...

She was relaxed.

That wasn't something Finn had remembered seeing before.

What she asked prompted him to stop walking. ]

I... I'll--Tell me where to go. I can at least meet you on the way. I'm...

[ The video jostled again as he looked around. People seemed friendly enough but he trusted Rey implicitly. If she told him where to go, he'd follow. Or he'd wait. His attention came back to the screen. ]

I have no idea where I am.

[Rey releases a sigh. What a relief to see Finn again! And to see he was still the same as how she left him.]

Angle your communicator to show me your surroundings. That'll at least be a start.

[ Finn immediately did what she said and held his device while panning around the area. There were roads that others traveled on by foot as well as carts and other modes of transport that he wasn't familiar with. It seemed there was a path that lead to a desolate temple. Winter was all that Finn saw on the outside wall in the distance. ]

How's that?

[Her smile broadens.] Perfect! [The angle of her video slants as she wiggles on her boots, and she straightens up to walk out.] You're by the Winter shrine, not far from where I am--at Summer.

[She trots out of the Summer shrine, but not before snatching up her bow, satchel, and a few pieces of perfectly-ripe fruits.

She looks both directions, skimming the crowd for the familiar figure, jutting her arm up in the air upon spotting him.] Finn! Finn! Over here!

Summer?

[ He anxiously looked around, trying to figure out what direction she could be coming from. It was impossible to just wait. Seeing her video jostle was almost a green light to find his way to her yet Finn wouldn't leave where Rey saw him last, returning when he felt the spot was almost out of sight. He seemed to be right about his last venture since he heard her coming up behind him on his track back. ]

Rey!

[ Finn charged for her with consideration for the people around them. His arms enveloped her once in reach, hugging her as if it were his last living act. The same way they seemed to embrace after being apart. ]

[She broke out running with ease, bolstered by the excitement at seeing her dearest (and, let's face it, first) true friend. Sure, she had arrived with Poe, an ally and comrade in his own roght, but they hadn't gone through all that she and Finn had.

Finn and Rey--they had each other'a backs
] Finn. [She uttered his name with a sigh of relief, her arms wrapped around him as though her sanity depended on it.] I'm so happy you're safe.

[At the words she pauses, releasing her hold on him and planting her hands on his shoulders, looking him over with a discerning eye.] You...are safe, aren't you? You aren't hurt anywhere?

[ A part of him didn't want to let go. She could probably feel it. Finn wondered if it had been what prompted her to ask if he was alright as they stood face to face. He found himself taking a cleansing breath and straightening up in an effort to convince Rey. ]

I'm fine. How about you? Are you alright? What is this place?

[ He almost reached for her hand but stopped himself. Another breath and a quick look at their surroundings. It didn't matter what this was, they could survive just the two of them. But there was Poe too.

Finn wouldn't let himself think of Kylo Ren. ]

How long have you been here?

[She squeezed his shoulders in encouragement, her face bright with a smile.] I'm fine. I'm fine! [She laughed at the fact, as she was even better now that Finn was here.

As he looked around, Rey's hands slipped off his shoulders, planting instead on her hips.]

As for this place...well. [She shrugged her shoulders and gave him a weak smile.] We could be stuck in worse, I suppose. It's a bit strange, but makes sense once you accept how things work around here.

It looks like your friends found you alright. Can't say I know an Organa, though.

[ He grinned happily. Steph received a nod of his head. One that fell just slightly with the knowledge the trio was stranded without more help from the Resistance. ]

Vernos Bay... what start system is that in? I've never heard of it.

No clue! Possible the Solar System, in the Milky Way, but that's just a guess.

The Solar System?

[ His face matched the question in his voice. Finn had never heard of the Solar System or what she meant by a Milky Way. There was only comfort in knowing he wasn't back on Jakku.

It was nice for her to respond. ]

Do you know how you got here?

That's what we call it, anyway.

[ She shrugs. ]

Not a clue. Just sort of found myself standing in the middle of town, actually.

Me too!

[ It was something of a relief, knowing someone else had arrived in the same manner. The relief showed on his face. ]

How long ago did this happen to you?

It's... hard to say? Maybe a couple of months, but for a while there time wasn't exactly working right, so I don't have a real record.

So you didn’t die. How unfortunate.

[ That voice. It was in his nightmares. Finn knew it better than almost any other voice. A second passed before he responded. ]

Yeah? I could say the same about you!

[ There was shuffling, Finn throwing a hand up in the air in frustration. His comeback was weak. He took a breath, refusing to let Kylo Ren completely unnerve him. ]

But I guess that's why you rather use this than say it to my face. You're still hiding yours like a coward.

[ No shuffling. Nothing but conviction in the end. Finn almost felt vindicated. Almost. ]

[ He switches to video immediately, a scowl on his face. There's no helmet, just a hate filled look in his eye, shoulders hunched and fingers digging into the table. ]

There's nothing more cowardly than abandoning your cause because you cant make the hard decisions, Traitor. Has your running awaylead you here?

[ If there was one thing deep rooted in Finn by now, it was the need to stand up against the First Order. The moment there is a video from Kylo Ren, Finn sends his back. Hate meeting hate, scowl meeting scowl. ]

The cause that I abandoned was never mine. I was taken too young to be able to make that kind of decision. That's what the First Order does. And other cowardly things like killing your own father when all he wanted to do was save you!

You know nothing about me, or my father, or the first order. [ He hates this man, for many reasons. For failing his cause, for being with Rey, for the affection she feels for him, all of it pitches a light in his chest that feels like he wants to find Finn and kill him on the spot.

The sensation isnt as strong as it should be though, something tempering it against his will, and he shakes his head, his voice low. ]

Or Rey for that matter.

No. It's you who doesn't know the first thing about the First Order!

[ If there was one thing Finn wouldn't put up with, it was being told about the First Order as if he knew nothing about it. His entire existence had been given to it. He didn't know what family was, belonging somewhere. Not until meeting Rey. Finn was livid at Kylo Ren's inference. ]

And you don't know anything about Rey either!

[ Kylo Ren wasn't wrong about how much Finn knew of him, even his father. Finn did know what he witnessed; which was the undeserving death that Han Solo experienced at the hand of the monster who addressed him over the broadcast. ]

You're nothing but an overgrown spoiled brat who threw a tantrum to get your way and abused powers meant to be a gift. Rey and I might've been orphaned but you're the one who's really alone!

[ Kylo licks his lips, pressing them into a thin line. It would be all too easy to find this man and cut out his heart, remove his head, to slice him into a thousand worthless pieces like he had wanted to do back on Starkiller base. Perhaps something better would grow from his rotting corpse. ]

I imagine you're feeling quite confident from the other side of this device. Vernos Bay is smaller than you'd imagine FN2187, and there is no escape.

[ He rises, murderous intent in his eyes. ]

In fact, I know exactly where you are.

My name is Finn.

[ This time, there isn't an excited energy when he responded to Kylo Ren. Finn was calm while full of contempt, making his identity clear. He wasn't the scared stormtrooper on the run that defected. He didn't run anymore. ]

Are you just gonna stand there and talk all day?

[Felicity waves a little through the screen.]

If you can understand what I'm saying, I know Rey and I knew Poe when he was here.

[ She seemed friendly. His face lit up as she named his friends. ]

Rey's still here? Where is she?

Spring temple. Totally tempted by the fruit.

[She shrugs a little.]

Kinda adorable actually.

Spring temple...

[ He'd never heard of The Spring before. It seemed dangerous to ask about them over the device. They had to be strong to tempt his friend. Finn couldn't help but look worried. ]

How do I find her?

Find the spring temple, probably. I mean she doesn't stay there all the time.
