It's a little like the Shiekah Slate, but much smaller. The Shiekah Slate didn't have a way to communicate with other devices, either. Although as far as I know it's the only one of its kind that remains.

No, not at all. There's the Shiekah Slate, but it's 10,000 years old. We've long since lost the knowledge to create such a thing ourselves.

We only uncovered it about 100 years ago, and as far as I know it doesn't have any communication technology. It does create images, though. I saw that this 'phone' can do that too.
