(A video starts up and the first thing that everyone sees his one man lounging across what looks like a stone chair and fiddling with the device in this hands. His face appears with an orange glow from the flames of the torches and the fire pit in the center of the temple below his seat.)

Hey, so I've been around for a little while and realized that I never introduced myself...

Or apologized about the ship crash. Or explained that it was not pilot error. Was in the middle of something that wasn't going quite right when whatever it was ripped my friend and I away and crashed us here...

(He pauses (damn he actually was starting to become fond of that rust bucket that he had been flying temporarily) and then gives a slight, though it appears cocky, grin.)

Name's Poe Dameron. Normally I'd be tossing my rank in there, but rank doesn't count for much here. Anyway, it looks like I'll be filling in as the resident Fire God for the time being. (Then he finds himself going; ) Well then, uh, how's everyone? Other than the fact we're in a dire straight of some sort with the fact a ton of people went missing recently...

I had the idea pitched to me about throwin' a small together in the near future and I have to say, considering the circumstances, it's a pretty good idea. Anyone want in?

A gathering sounds like a lovely idea, but I'm afraid I'm just too busy to attend myself.

Too busy to attend? (He frowns a little.) That's a shame. I'll keep the invitation open anyway, in case your workload lessens at all. There aren't any serious plans yet, anyway.

(A pause.)

...D'you mind me asking if I should be prepared similar responses from everyone else?

I don't mind in the least. I've agreed to help at a local school as part of a project I'm working on with a few others. I don't know how much of their time they've agreed to give up as well, but surely some of them will be free to spend some with you.

Has everyone picked up a project or two around here? Is that a common thing around here?

Yeah, I'm sure there are at least a few people out there who would want and could use a distraction...

(Poe is definitely one of those "few" he is talking about.)

I'm not really sure... I've been rather caught up in my studies, I'm afraid.

But, I have to say. It does sound like a good idea, maybe I should look into making a project or two while I'm here.

You're certainly welcome to help with mine. We're working to establish free housing for those of us who come here against our will and have no temple to live in.

Yeah, as long as you're good with the extra help, I'd be happy to help out. As much as a pilot can do. I do know a little about repairs and things like that.

[ She blushes, delighted by the praise. ]

To be sure! There are alterations to be made to the building we've obtained, and then furniture to move... there's still quite a bit that needs to be done.

(She does deserve the praise for a good idea.)

I can definitely help with moving furniture. I mostly worked on ships, well I helped the techs, but I can take a look at alterations too.

Ah, when you say ‘ships’... I take it you don’t mean boats?

Yeah, no prob.

(He had not thought of the use of the word to mean boats. Poe laughs nervously.) Yeah, I'm afraid I didn't mean boats there. I meant the kind that can go into space.

So, obviously, you don't have those where you're from. (Poe smiles then adds;) So, if there's anything you want to know, feel free to ask about it.

I wouldn't begin to know what to ask. In my kingdom we've not even begun to think that we might reach past the very sky.

What's it like, to fly?

(Now, that's a good question. Poe's eyes lighten and he finds himself giving her a huge grin.)

Words can't accurately describe it, but it feels right. Well, to me, anyway. I think it's different for everyone in that way.

But, depending on how high you go? You can see everything under you. Then you get high enough? Planets, moons, stars...

[ She sighs wistfully. ]

Hopefully, we can get ships made and working here, eventually. That way you'll get to try it once.

Maybe. Parties aren't really my thing. I'm trying to get rid of two deer's worth of venison jerky, if you want any for the party, though.

Hey, that's still something, you know? (Poe gives a small smile at having gotten an answer.) Well, no rush in deciding what you want to do.

I haven't gotten any real plan for this together yet. I'm used to just taking stuff out of the supplies and sitting around with a bunch of people telling stories, a few jokes. It'll probably be something like that if that helps with a decision?

(The closest he had been to a "party" in a long while.)

Jerky, huh? Haven't had anything like that in a while. (He is going to have to take her up on that offer.) Yeah, that'd be great.
