[ Margo peers directly into the camera, some kind of scowl playing on her lips. She’s still wearing her crown, but recognizes that the respect it commands doesn’t necessarily transfer from one world to the next. That might be a big part of why she looks, apparently, pissed off. ]

Okay, it’s not that I don’t appreciate how amazing hopping from one world to the next is, I just shouldn’t be here.

[ She lets out a big huff of a sigh and looks around. ]

I mean, I guess it has a kind of generic city charm to it, but…

[ With a roll of her eyes, she begins to walk around some more, still keeping her device with her. ]

Anyway, I’m Margo.

[ She looks into the camera once more, eyebrows wrinkled slightly and sarcasm lacing her voice. ]

Great to meet you.

Yeah, join the fuckin' club. [The voice is young, and clearly annoyed with Margo.] None of us should be here, but here we fucking are. Deal or don't.

[ She smirks to herself. This kid is kind of like her. ]

Look, I don't want to earn a rep as Queen Bitch. I didn't mean to be short with anyone.

[ Margo blows out a slow exhale. ]

So, we're all stuck here. Huh.

[Ellie sighs.] Fair enough, I guess. You're better than the guy who threatened to destroy the place, so there's that.

[Ellie pauses for a moment, trying to think about what's important. She doesn't really know how to prioritize the information here.]

Yeah. No one knows how we got here, but we're here. The natives are the people who kind of speak like this. [It's not a great accent, but it gets the job done.] Rest of us are from... everywhere and anywhere, I guess. Keep a look out for anyone you know, but don't count on them being here too.

Well, thank you for the run down.

[ Her tone is actually sincere. ]

What’s your name?

[ Because she’s totally not going to call you mini-me. You have her spunk and sass, but that’s where Margo hopes it ends. Two Margo-like people would mean a hell of a lot of arguing. ]

E. [Just the letter. At least it's something to call her by, which is better than before.

...Honestly, they're probably going to end up arguing. It's what Ellie does, among other assorted violence.] ...did you already take a throne? [Margo is wearing a crown, after all. Ellie hasn't seen anyone else with one, but maybe one of the thrones comes with it.]

[ One of Margo’s favorite letters. She can’t help but smile. ]

Alright, E. And nah, I thought I’d get my bearings before I started claiming any kind of power around here. The only throne I took is back where I came from.

...Huh. Are you some kind of... queen, too? I mean. I'm not, there's just someone who is.

[It's pretty complicated. There are too many people from too many places around.]

I am.

[ There's a hint of pride to her tone. ]

I'm high queen of a place called Fillory.

Oh. Uh. Nice.

[Nice? Really, is that the best you can do, Ellie? Fuck.]

I don't think we have any high gods...unless someone's taking some fun pills.

[Thinking of that joke took longer than Ellie's comfortable admitting.]

Well,

[ Margo smiles at the notion of 'high' gods and pills. ]

If you come across any fun pills, let me know. Maybe we can change that.

Will do.

[Ellie's never seen anything stronger than vodka I'm her life.]

I think the industry temple has a place open if you need.

[he regards her with pursed lips a moment]

Do you know, I'm sensing a little sarcasm from you.

[ She raises her eyebrows with a tiny smile playing on her lips. ]

Likewise. Fighting fire with fire?

I tend to try and put the fire out. [but he returns the smile] And you know this isn't a bad place so far. I do wish they'd stop offering me grapes-- but I have to admit, I'm enjoying myself.

[it's not even been twenty-four hours but still]

Grapes?

[ She's certain she's missing a piece of the puzzle. ]

Well, it's comforting that a good time is a possibility here.

Yes. They seem to feel I need sustenance. But, well, if I did at the moment it wouldn't be grapes. Nor pears. Overrated fruit, I find.

Tell me... what is it you like to do for fun?

For fun?

[ Margo sighs. It’s been far too long since she’s had any proper fun, but she can still remember. ]

I like a good party. I can be a pretty good hostess, too.

Well then we should throw one. Liven the place up a bit. [he's feeling a bit restless even though he's barely been here a few days]

You know, that’s not a bad idea.

[ Her lips curve into a smile. ]

I’m guessing you know a good place to get drinks and canapes? I don’t know my way around yet.

I wish I did. [he puffs a breath] I'm about as new as you are to this whole affair. But I don't mind finding out a thing or two if you're as bored as I am.

Eh, we'll figure it out. I mean, even if it's just a couple bottles of wine and some cheese, everybody's going to come to this party. These people need a party. I can feel it. [ She nods firmly like she truly believes what she's saying. ]

I agree! Everyone needs a party. And then perhaps a wild adventure into the unknown. Provided we can find it. [in fact he'd be more inclined to skip the party but adventure had no expiration date]

I like your spirit. What do I call you?

[ She tilted her head. If he was to be her partner in party business, she had to have something to call him, and generally the names she came up with on her own weren't very flattering. ]

Hello, Ms Margo! I'm Tatra. It's a pleasure to meet you. Would you like a hot cup of tea?

[ It's cold these days, and tea is good for the soul. ]

[ Her head jerks back the tiniest bit as if she's surprised by the greeting. ]

Hi, Tatra.

[ She does look a little worn out. Tea sounds good. ]

Sure, why not?

You can ask any of the locals for the Temple of Hearth and Home. I always have tea and snacks ready~

Well,

[ She flashes a smile. ]

You’re certainly prepared. I’ll find you.

[ ooc: Action post or no? :) ]

I'm always prepared for tea!

[ And so she is, in her round temple full of pillows and blankets to keep any guest comfortable, even without much furniture to speak of. ]

[ Margo enters the temple and is instantly impressed. It’s not like Whitespire, it’s not even like the cottage she lived in on Earth, but it is incredibly cozy and fitting of the title Temple of Hearth and Home. She steps in a little further and smiles at Tatra. ]

Tatra. Nice to meet and all that. Cool place you’ve got. Kind of a bohemian vibe.

Thank you! Do come in.

[ Tatra doesn't stand, because that's not what royalty does when company comes to call, but she does wave Margo in. ]

It was terribly cold when I arrived. I like it much better like this.

[ Margo steps out of her shoes as it seems appropriate with all of the pillows and walks all of the way in, taking a seat on one of the bigger pillows. She offers a tiny smile to Tatra. ]

Is that how it is, here? Everything is empty until you claim it as yours?

That's how the thrones are, at least. I'm not really sure how many are still empty.

[ But on to more important matters- ]

Please help yourself to anything you like! I like to keep plenty of snacks around for guests.
